The official please trade Tom Poti for 10 rolls of tape and 12 practice pucks thread

I know there are only 3-4 cool muddafuddin Rangers' fans, but Tom Poti needs to gi-zo.

for $23/hr I would be able to keep the fucking puck in the fucking attacking zone on the fucking power play.....and I sure as hell would at least try to keep it in the fucking zone with the goalie pulled and 1 minute left down 3-2.

From Spectors Hockey:
Larry Brooks reports Rangers GM Glen Sather may be looking for a trade partner to take struggling blueliner Tom Poti off his hands. Poti's play this season has made him the target of the MSG boo-birds, and Brooks claims his confidence is "at a low ebb" after being made a healthy scratch twice this season. Brooks claims the Boston Bruins are looking for a replacement for the injured Brian Leetch but they've expressed little interest in Poti, a Worcester, Mass. native. The St. Louis Blues and Columbus Blue Jackets are also in the market for blueline help but Brooks feels the Rangers wouldn't get a good return. Another option could be "the Rangers to put Poti on waivers, which he undoubtedly would clear, and then find a way to move him via a pre-arranged re-entry waivers trade, where both the Blueshirts and the acquiring club would be responsible for both half the salary and half the cap hit. Under that scenario, perhaps Poti is moveable."

Spector's Note: Rumours have been swirling about Poti for some time, but right now his trade value seems very low and his $2.356 million salary isn't easily absorbable for other teams under the salary cap. Things do seem to be coming to a head for Poti and it may well be that he may not finish this month in a Rangers uniform.
