is this guy any good? i haven't read up too much on any of the rookie players this year...

It was an odd pick. The Red Line Report had him listed as going 60th overall.
60. Kenndal McArdle: Moose Jaw LW Is going to be a great junior player, but we question if he'll be able to score at the professional level. Has good speed but lacks lateral quickness and acceleration, which will hurt his ability to create offensively at the next level. Has good, but not great hands. Picks his spots to get involved physically and works hard. However, has a tendency to be a bit of a perimetre player in the offensive zone. Very good hockey sense and a knack for getting to open ice in scoring territory at just the right moment. Strong work ethic could allow him to become a good energy/third-line guy in the NHL if he doesn't score. Responsible in own zone. Projection: 3rd liner for middle tier teams. Style compares to: Marty McInnis
