how can you tell if someone has read your live journal?

you can't the best you can do is have your livejournal friends only. so it's only viewable by the people you want to read it. or you can do that with each individual entry (an option open to you every time you post)

you CAN view everyone's IP addresses whoever posts a comment. their IP address can be shown. so even if they post anonymously you still can read their IP address.
