had one of those this past thursday. started off pretty good, i took back the xbox i bought from walmart a few months ago (i know, i know, but i was given a walmart giftcard for $70 and had a bunch of other unused gift cards from christmas, so i sold my older console). amazingly enough, there was no one in the returns line and they actually had xboxes in stock...the last time i went there, they didn't have shit and i had to drive to another walmart much farther away.

then i get home from work just in time for the ups guy who delivered the xbox i had sent to m$. instead of fixing it, they sent me a brand new one. :nanner5:

after my wife got home, we ate and noticed that junior was acting weird. he had a little bit of diarrhea earlier that day and after he ate his dinner, just started vomiting several times. it got to the point where he couldn't stand up on his own and looked dazed. we had to hightail it out of there and take him to the vet...shit came out to $600+, but we decided to take him home ourselves and we slashed the bill in half.

fuckers. :hmm2:

Brand new Xbox

Good to hear Jr is ok Danny, Len`s left foot has run me up a bill into the hundreds too at the vets, he may need an x ray on his foot as I think he may have a thorn or a splinter in his middle toe somewhere. I squeezed it earlier and loads of puss came out and he almost bit me. He is 9 in May and is a cantankerous old git. Just like me !

But he is better looking

Cool Danny, thats his job after all, I was thinking of getting Len a friend for his old age but he is a loner and does not take to well to his space being invaded (I wonder who he gets that from ...)

(Good to see you are not asleep at the wheel after all !)...:heeey:...

I just broke up with my girlfriend of nearly 4 years, so this has been a really shitty day. It's my first big breakup so I'm not sure what to do with myself. Just be miserable for a while I guess.

I'm sorry, Jonesy. Anything we can do to help?

Yeah, been there. 4 years for me too. Dumped my ass for a frat boy. Guess I didn't know her as well as I thought. Don't let her see you sulk, cause you only look like a fool/pussy. Chalk it up and stay busy.

Sorry bout Jr., Poor little guy, glad he is feeling better. Good deal bout the xboxees!

Have a little mope for a bit (but only to yourself, don't drag other people into it), then after a while, decide you've been feeling self-pitying too long, kick yourself in the ass and try to move on.

Jonesy, All I can say is I hope you feel better soon and don,t do what I did after a break up a while ago and turn self pity into some sort of Olympic sport.

After a while you will find that the "singular bachelor lifestyle" is not so bad after all,

But you do get sore hands after a while ...:erm:...

another thing, jonesy, no matter what people tell you, this takes time to heal (people claim a month for every year).

anyways, the point is you'll get over it and come out a better person for having gone through it (as cliché-y as that sounds).

I've never had a break-up. I'm practically still a virgin. :erm:

Thanks for the advice. I just feel like it's a mistake right now. The reason we broke up is because for about the last 6 months we've just felt like friends and nothing more. You know, like there's no romance or whatever. I've felt this way because she's a very passive person and never takes charge. I always kissed her. She'd kiss back, but I always initiated it, and that's how basically everything we did came about. I always initiated things. She says, and still said yesterday that she loves me and is attracted to me, but she apparently doesn't know how to give me compliments, or show in any physical way that she wants me, which is something I need, or at least really really want.

I was doing some things I need to work on improving too and I'm aware of that and would be willing to try to improve. It just sucks that almost everything else about our relationship was really good. It almost seems silly to end a 4 year relationship over something that seems to me so simple to fix, but she didn't even mention that she'd work on it. I don't know, I just thought that she'd really see how her being so physically passive all the time was bothering me to the point of breaking up and then she'd say something and make a real attempt to change things. I don't know how to deal with someone who assures you they love you if you ask, but shows you no signs otherwise.

We actually did more of a separation than a break up, so it's not entirely over. I'm mostly waiting on her to call, take action, and speak to me and tell me that she does want our relationship to continue, but the last 4 years tells me that won't happen. So fuck it, it probably is over.

Sorry for treating this like some live journal shit. She was pretty much my only in-person friend.

Actions do speak louder than words. To be cliche. This goes for everyone. Not just girlfriends.

It's not natural behavior to be monogamous.

Although some of us have been tarped.

FUCK ANYTHING THAT MOVES, JONESY! :nanner5:

I met Gary Numan and most of his band over the last 2 days and got a bunch of stuff signed. It's been good times. :nana:

When Britta Osberg’s ex-boyfriend asked her to return a ring, she punched him in the face twice, leaving the ring's imprint on his cheek, police allege.

Would the act of sitting on the toilet doing a poo while scratching a $100,000 win on a lottery ticket adequately fit the idea of this thread's title?
