1) Sneak's tip about holding parties is a good one, if you can't avoid it, or can't resist temptation, make sure your house looks real good before a party cos then people respect it more. Of course, with lower drinking ages in Europe, we tended to just go to the pub or club so there's a much lower emphasis on house parties here, plus people in the 18-21 range are more likely to know their limits, so that helps.

2) What Ken says about choosing your friends carefully is true - and for god's sake choose your girlfriends just as carefully (think :p7:)

Heath ... The number of true friends I have I could count on the fingers of one hand (thats four btw) Each one of them I could ask to do anything for me and they would do it, likewise me for them. I did have a very good friend once who let me down quite badly and it took me a very long time to trust anyone again (I won,t go into details (unlike some people ...:grrr:...) But when someone says one thing to your face and another to everyone else they are an idiot and do not deserve anything let alone friendship imho ... I used to be like that, but now if I don,t like something someone has done I tell them, deferring to ignorance is the wrong way to go because they are only ignorant because you do not tell them how you feel, if you let people guess how you are feeling they will often get it wrong and that causes more problems..
