Geez. When I was little my parents wouldn't let me have any of that shit. I had the original NES that I got handed down from my older brother, along w/ an atari (the old kind that had games like frogger and kangaroo boxing), but all through the years where everyone else had sega's, play station's, super nintendos, etc.. I had nothing. :( Finally in 5th grade I was allowed to get a N64, and I played Mario64 all the time.. and I loved it. In fact now I want to play it. I also played 007 when people came over, which was fun too. I don't know why my parents wouldn't let me have a console game until 5th grade (even then they were real skeptical about it), but maybe that's why I became so addicted to PC games (really just one lol).

Oh I also had a gameboy that I got in like 5th grade b/c I bought it from one of my mom's students (she was teaching 6th grade at the time) for $25.00. It came w/ like 6 games, a carrying case, and then my neighbor gave me all his games b/c he didn't like them anymore. What a steal :)

Edit: Oh yeah I also really loved Metroid for NES. :lol:

yeah Iha..I hear you...

My son loves games (how many kids don't?)....He does great in school, is doing well in music class (percussion), plays baseball, and is in Karate...so he is well balanced......Besides, the xbox he bought himself with his own money after saving for almost a year

Patty, your son rocks. He is far cooler than I ever was. I mowed lawns to buy my first nintendo for 35 dollars at a garage sale.
