i was on songmeanings.net reading some reviews on bob's music and i saw this comment:

Bob Marley was assaniated by the CIA. Its all a cover up. Marley was a supporter of the president of Jamaica at the time, forget the guys name...might have been manley. Anyways, the president wasn't pro-american, and Marley was starting to influence americans, so the CIA thought he was a threat. When he was playing soccer one time, Marley stubbed his toe or something, and the CIA agents posed as doctors and injected some sort of cancer causing carsinogen into his foot. He didn't get cancer from smoking weed.

now, i'm not too familiar with marley's story, but this sounds a bit out there.

i don't believe in this "CIA killed Bob Marley" crap (for a start, his legacy is much bigger for his death!), but if they DID, it would be a sad lookout for your nation - more busy trying to take out Jamaican musicians because the president of his country wasn't pro-American, so busy in fact that they couldn't devote the due care and attention to making proper explosive cigars.
