Anyone saw this? I picked up the 1st season and its just....awesome. HBO is so far ahead of everyone else when it comes to TV. They have Carnivale, Deadwood, Six Feet Under and they also made Band of Brothers and many other good shows. I'm an HBO addict...

never seen deadwood or even heard of it

but wasnt carnivale some seriously awesome shit?

i'm still trying to figure it out

probably cause i missed two of the middle episodes which would have set up the questions that i (unfortunately) now know the answers to

edit: it doesnt help that i dont know a whole lot about free-masons or knights templar or whoever those guys were

are you talking about the 1st season of carnivale? The 2nd season is on now.

I'd get this, but it's 80 bucks man. That's steep for one season.

It's expensive but i doubt the price will go down. I tried waiting for band of brothers to go down for about 2 years. Finally i just decided it wasnt happening. So now i have Band of Brothers, Carnivale, and deadwood :shrug:

yeah I watched the first season of Deadwood when it aired after Sopranos last time. It was very sweet. I can't wait til March 6th when the 2nd season starts.

umm.. yes. And no, ABC probably won't air it, since its an HBO show.

Ian McShane as Swearengen is the shit. I love how he progressed in the first season from the main villain to just a violent saloon owner/town leader. Brilliant performance. One of my favorite TV characters of all time.

Yeah. I figured he was going to be the main 'bad guy'. Very awesome character.

The Doctor is actually one of my favorite characters too.

I also like how Seth isn't the typical perfect great guy vs. the bad guys. He can be quite the asshole himself sometimes.
