My dilemma

I have a problem. And she is very annoying.

The story: Last summer while I was coaching baseball, one of the kids had an older sister that would come to the games, we started chatting and hanging out and it's all good. She was nice and fun to be around. After awhile, I tell her I will be going to the caribbean for a long time, and she get's quite disappointed. It's only after I mention my trip that she mentions she has a boyfriend. So I'm thinking "She waited a long time to mention a boyfriend, I must have been in the running as a replacement." (I have since found out this was true.) So I think "Well, we can't date, but maybe this is the type of person that will have sex with me, despite the whole boyfriend thing. What's the harm in trying?" So rather than backing away and staying friends, I double my efforts. Nothing came of it. Oh well, too bad, she's a good person that wouldn't cheat on her boyfriend. I leave for the caribbean, and have a blast for 3 months.

The problem: I came back, she doesn't have a boyfriend, she still likes me, and I find her to be really annoying. (Example: She spells funny with an "ie." Funnie. and Cool becomes "kewl." *shudder*) She's also quite clingy, and doesn't give up.
I need this person in my life as little as possible, but I don't want to be rude and just say "fuck off"

Any suggestions?

He then ran to tell her I was talking about her. So then she unblocked me and started talking to me. Now to be honest, I didn't miss talking to her at all. The only thing I missed was the opportunity to nail her.
Anyways, we were talking, and there weren't too many typos, but the amount of lol's was disturbing, so I still wasn't in the mood to be friends with her, but I was giving her a shot.

But then she sent me an email asking if I wanted to go get a coffee, hang out, catch up, etc. etc.

My best friend Jesse has her on his msn contacts, and after she and I stopped talking, she kept trying to talk with him. He basically responded with one word answers and disinterest, and even at one point outright mocking her ("hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how r u? lol!",) but she didn't really take the hint.

Then, he actually started noticing they had a bit in common. I'll keep this part short, they started to hang out, he told me, I laughed at him, it lasted a month before he started complaining about how so fucking annoying she is.
