Ok, so I gave in tonight an picked up the deluxe 2 disk re-release of TDS. Over all.....its "OK". TDS has a few changes to it, very subtle changes…like some of the back ground noises are easer to hear, and in some songs TR added a few drum fillers. Other than that, its the same damn thing. The 2nd disk is "OK" as well. About 3 of the 13 songs are really cool, the others are just run-of-the-mill TR remix that probable shouldn’t have been done but it isn’t unlistenable.

over all I give it a 5/10. If you don’t already have TDS then get this version, but if you have it already like I did....you’re not missing that much by letting this one pass you by. :cool:

I was hoping that it would be worth the 24 buck I spent on it, but IMO it wasn’t. I have the DVD-A DE of The Downward Spiral and it sounds gorgeous. If I had a mirror built into this piece of shit surround sound system I'd show you how pretty it sounds.

I was under the impression before its was released that you had to have a DVD-A player to listen to it, but that's not the case. My ignorant ass was schooled. This DualDisc Deluxe Edition is simply brilliant. You'll hear nuances that you never picked up on before and your little world will grow to expansive heights once your sweet spot is flooded with rich, pure, majestic harmony.

Then again it also helps if you think TDS is one of the greatest damn albums EVER!!

Yeah I'm thinking that DE does sound significantly better than the old CD. If you didn't like TDS before, it's not going to make you like it somehow, but it does make the experience a bit cooler.
Listening to Mr. Self Destruct and hearing some of the effects from the rear speakers for the first time brang a smile to my face.
