What I love so much about that movie is how FREAKY it is--all of the subliminal noises and growls etc in the background. Still scares the shit out of me too.

yeah, and it's really thought provoking at the same time. the ninth configuration (my favorite film) was written and directed by blatty as well, and focuses chiefly around the problem of goodness, about evil in the world and selflessness. you should really pick it up if can find it. the most amazing film you will ever see.

Ryan
January 25th, 2005, 04:50 AM
make sure you get the dvd edition as it's blatty's definitive version (there are like 500 billion different versions of the film to be found on VHS) :plain:

Yeah, I need to work out an issue with my computer DVD drive (like shitcanning it and going for either a portable or a standalone). I have 2 VCR's but I record movies off of Turner Classic Movies predominantly....which is where I got the widescreen version of The Exorcist, funnily enough. Uncut too. Think it's just the regular version, however, no extras that I could readily tell.
The good thing about my VCR setup is that I have surround there.

I like Terminator 3 much better than T2. I just could not stand that Edward Furlong faggot. He ruined the movie for me.
MAGO
January 28th, 2005, 12:50 PM
true, but that homo in T3 is worse imo...did you ever see him in that movie "Bully"...i guess that's why i can't stand him...
KenKill75
January 28th, 2005, 01:34 PM
No, I didnt see that movie. But I didnt find him to be particularly homo. I thought he was ok.

January 28th, 2005, 01:37 PM
lol...i guess i've just seen more movies with him and that's probably why he annoys me...i've seen him in Bully, The Man without a Face and one more i can't remember right now..

But Furlong was completely intolerable to me. The sight of his face, the sound of his voice, they evoke feelings of rage within me.

you should have kept the original. TVYNS is full of unnecessary added scenes and subliminal images that william friedkin actually said he would never utilize in a prior dvd commentary. then what did he do? put them in :rolleyes2 :jerk:
