The beginning musical climax syncs up nicely with the animation. Overall the editing is first-rate. The only problem that I had with it was that it didn't hold my interest. But that's probably due to my unfamiliarity with EverQuest. :shrug:

I capture the footage with a program called Fraps. (http://fraps.com/) I captured around 400 video clips and dozens of screenshots for that particular video. I spent about 60+ hours on it from start to finish.

The whole process of machinima is very much like that of creating a real or live-action video or movie. Except that you are working in a virtual world.

But, machinima is kind of like teh butt secks, it's not for everyone. :shrug:

hey jason, could fraps be used to record any type of streaming video or just game footage? if not, do you have any software recommendations?

It can record streaming video too. Not all streaming though. I tried to record streaming from Netflix. It crashed my browser each of the two times I tried. :shrug:

I've never used those. I've never actually used any Jasonware to capture streaming video alone. With Fraps it was just a bonus.

I use to but, it seemed pointless. I still had to run the clips through the editor and there I would decide the quality and/or size.
