I love going up to people in wheelchairs and saying "omfg, just get up and walk like the rest of us.. why do you have to be so lazy?!"
Actually.. no I don't.
anyway.. you need to add a shirt that has the picture of christopher reeves in heaven.. of him sitting at the bottom of a flight of stairs, w/ the pearly gates at the top, and him saying "damn." I'm not sure if you've seen that image.. but it would fit in with the offensiveness that's already there.

Wes, I think it's cool that you have started the "wheelchair revolution" thing with your friends. I hope you are successful with your site.

kick ass... yeah one thing my able-bodied friends do when we do become real kool is that they end up forgeting I'm disabled sometimes when it does matter, like if they want me to go with them to someone's house or something and it has a shitload of stairs... they literally just forget, its not a bad thing at all though that they do... one of the things my friends and i want to do with my Wheelchair Revolution thing (I don't mean just the tshirt site, but www.wheelchairrevolution.com ) is to try to educate people that they really shouldn't look at the chair, or if they do to do it with a sense of humor... we're people who learn to overcome, not outcast or people to be felt sorry for like the typical person might view us as... I've seen posters with disabled people saying "we're special" , i'm absolutely not... i'm just your typical fucked up individual...

As long as they're cool with it, then just treat em as ever. I have a friend who injured his neck playing rugby, which shattered the nerves in his leg and he now has to walk with a crutch for the rest of his life; owing to his determination to come out clubbing and going to shows with us and get involved despite the difficulty it causes him, we dubbed him 'The Funky Cripple' (he can dance pretty good for a disabled guy).
