DS is a great idea that hasnt been used right yet. I gotta give props to Nintendo for at least trying something new and opening new doors. Always the inivators.

As for the PSP. I dunno. Looks like it might just become a way to play PS2 ports on a handheld. No thanks. As long as their library has a lot of exclusive games and good games I'll probably get a used one some time down the road. If it is port happy , fuck it.

And UMD movies are doomed from the start. Does anyone wanna watch a movie on a screen that small?

you have to admit the psp is damn sexy. the screen is a little small to watch movies, but damn I have to give them credit on it because it takes up most of the system's area. my main worry about the psp is battery life, but hopefully they will solve that in the near future. as for the port issue, yeah that's gonna happen, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of original titles for it.

my dads friend had one of those when we were boarding an airplane, the guy checking his bags asked what it was and he said jokingly "oh, that's just my bomb" (this was pre-sept 11 for reference)

they immediatly arrested him and brought him to an interogating room for about half an hour, when he got on the plane he didn't say a single word for the whole flight

i heard some of the japanese ones had problems with them and that sony wouldn't fix it unless you had more than 3 dead pixels. i'm hoping they addressed it before the u.s. launch

In the last two days, I worked a Midnight Launch and opened the store the next mornig (today) all while working on 3 hours sleep.........I finally got one of these bad boys and after playing Ridge Racer all I can say is I am Impressed....... :rock:

i am too. i'm most impressed by the screen. its freakin' beautiful. i just hope it lasts....

my only gripe with it so far is the ergonomics. my hands feel kinda scrunched up on the controls and my thumbs get sore after a while.

March 24 was bitter-sweet for me. Got my PSP home, opened it up, turned it on, and had either dust particles under the screen or dead pixels. In either case, I took it back to EB. Got another one, and it's gorgeous! No problems.

Bought 3 games:

Lumines
Ridge Racer
Ape Escape: On the Loose

Still waiting for:

Mercury
Death, Jr.
A Ratchet & Clank game (keeps fingers crossed that they'll make one)

Yeah, they are very small, blurry or dark little dots.
