If we do it the last week(end) in September, I would definitely be able to house some folks and have a spare car lying around for someone's use. So, in other words, works for me!

Darken Elise
August 4th, 2005, 10:19 PM
With my current schedule, I'm thinking Sept/Oct sometime. obvioulsy will PM you or something as we get closer. Mayhaps we can coax Dion from Philly too.

Hell yeah...I'm in Philly, so it's just a train ride away. I work weekends (friday included) though, which sucks ass, but I could maybe get a Saturday off, if I can get someone to work for me. I could at least hang out for a day.

I didn't actually consider that the last weekend.

Yes... there are a few places for that around here.

Right now I live right by the airport...that may be changing though. Either way, it's no big deal.

The weekend of the 1st would actually work better for me, but if it means people can't go, then the other one is okay.

Lisha, I'm sending you as my representative.

You'll be receiving a curly wig, fake facial hair, and a bandana. At some point during the meetup, put them all on and say something only moderately funny at best. Then smile real wide and stare lustily at bleu.

Then have sex with Byrche.

Thank you.

You're an ambassador madam! I shall not be misconstrued by the good people of dotus as a full-out homosexual because of your schoolgirl fantasies of hot, nasty, animal sex with Byrche!

Just stare suggestively, to let him know I'm interested.

UPDATE: I still don't know if I'm moving before this meet-up happens, so I'm going to proceed as if I'm not.

At this time, I'm only able to house people if we do it the weekend of the 1st. I can do it the weekend before, but those that were planning on staying here would have to find someplace else to go, most likely, and I don't want that to prevent people from being able to go. So, at this time, my vote is still for the weekend of October 1st.

That being said, I live about three miles from the Nashville airport. I can say that the area around the airport is okay...not great, but not horrible. If you book hotels soon, whatever you do, do not stay in a hotel on Murfreesboro Road. It's ghetto. Very, very ghetto and I won't come and pick you up.

Actually, I was wanting to go down Thursday night.

But as far as money, I figure I'll need at least 300+ for the weekend. Looking into accomodations, it looks like it'll cost me about 160+ for three nights. I'm not staying in no luxury suites. It'd be cool to split some of that cost on a double though. It'll probally cost 40+ for gas for the round trip. I'd like to have a little spending money too.

It depends on what you all want to do. There are many things we can do while here...we have to consider the fact that some people are under 21, so we need to plan accordingly. I'm thinking that a game of cosmic bowling, in teams, will be a must. I have a whole bowling outfit!

Other than that, there are a few cool places that I can think to take you that no place else has, and none of those places cost money. So, think about the cost of food, and any drinking you will want to do, in addition to some small activities we could do. Sorry that this post was absolutely no help whatsoever.

Okay...first things first. Chornyi is...endlesswater, I think? She used to post at dotorg, and she might be coming with Lisha and then continuing to Birmingham or something.

Alas, I live in an apartment, so you can camp if you want to, but you may get pelted with golf balls. Your tent may fit on my balcony, though, so that would be okay.

Yes, I live near the airport. I live in Southeast Nashville, so any hotel that says "airport," "Antioch," or is located on Donelson Pike would be okay. Like I said before, just not Murfreesboro Road. You will see why.

But yes, anyone can stay at my house if they want...I can't guarantee a bed, but we can probably work out airbeds or something.

Bruce
August 8th, 2005, 10:44 AM
October 1st weekend. Nashville. Accomodations near airport are probably recommended.

So individuals need to plan accordingly. I think we can worry about the specific activities when we get closer and get a better idea of exactly who will attend. You never know how many stragglers may jump on late.
