Indeed. That sucked ass. I was at the Philly airport waiting to go to Minneapolis, and the game was actually on the TV and I was all excited seeing as my flight was delayed and I could watch most of the first half. What a disappointment. Plus, I couldn't yell at the TV and all, so it was difficult trying to limit myself to a few grimaces and gritting of the teeth.

i used to have channels like the nfl network, g4tv, etc, until one day i just decided to cancel the package. i also cancelled the dvr service and the hd-channels subscription. i didn't see the use of paying all that extra money a month.

i tried it out for a while, but i realized that i just don't watch the amount of tv that would justify paying extra. i watch the same damn channels anyway. espn, whatever local channel's playing the dolphin game, fox sports (for the panthers), food network, comedy central, public television, and some of the local spanish stations so i could check out the chicks. that's it. if i want to record something, i could just record it through media center...and it saves it all into in one neat, handy file.

plus i cancelled howard tv. i'm getting it somewhere else for free so why bother paying? not to mention the fact that i get to KEEP it...that's gotta count for something.

The Eagles problems have more to do with coaching than players. Well, before Mcnabb went down. Andy Reid is the worst game manager in the NFL. I don't understand why this man refuses to commit to the run but you can blame him for Mcnabb's injury problems the last few years because every defensive coordinator in the league knows that they are going to drop back and throw the ball deep all game long. There is no balance on that offense at all.

I agree about Reid. People have been bitching for years about the lack of a real running game. I still think he's been bad at picking players as well, for someone who wants to rely on the passing game.

I couldn't believe they kept Stinky for so long. Freddie Mitchell. He used to call himself FredEx ... more like FraudEx. 4th and 26 still didn't get them to the big game. Everybody's been crowing for a power back for years, too. Reid doesn't believe in the run, so it won't happen as long as he's still around.

Tailgated from 11 a.m. until about 3, packed up, walked around, took some pics, met the ultimate Steeler fan guy who has every piece of Steelers memorabilia imaginable and is apparently in the Hall of Fame, then went to the game. Had a few anxious moments getting play-by-play of the Pats game from my mom by phone, rejoiced in the Pats squeaker of a win over the Lions (omg!), then watched the Steelers totally stuff the Bucs. A fun, slightly drunken time was had by most (except the driver). We had seats on the corner of an end zone. Way cool seats, as we could see everything. Good times.

Saban bolts Dolphins, takes Alabama job (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6329560?FSO1&ATT=HMA)

Dolphin players had told FOXSports.com that they believe Saban has made up his mind to take the Alabama job.
Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga is expected to make an announcement that Saban has done what he claimed for weeks he would not do, and that is go to Alabama.

Last night after meeting with the Dolphins owner Saban met in South Florida with Alabama AD Mal Moore.

The entire murky affair began weeks ago when reports first surfaced that the Dolphins head coach would be Alabama's top target to replace Mike Shula. Saban denied he would be leaving South Florida, but the rumor persisted.

For the last month or so weekly stories insisted that Alabama was targeting Saban, but the coach emphatically stated he would not be leaving Miami. Alabama, however, was clearly waiting to make a run at the former LSU coach and reports in Alabama stated the university was willing to comply with every demand Saban threw at them from financial terms to the size of his staff to his assistants' salaries.

In the meantime, people close to Texans assistant coach Mike Sherman told FOXSports.com that Sherman met with Alabama officials last week. However, everyone else contacted about the job knew they had to wait for the Crimson Tide to make their run at Saban.

Jay Glazer is FOXSports.com's senior NFL writer.

Now all they need to do is ditch Vick or move his dumb ass to RB and get a real QB.

The real solution is to quit trying to force Vick into being something he's not..........a WCO QB. He was progressing greatly in a Coryell offense before they brought in Mora. They need to utilize his talents by sticking with a misdirection heavy offense. Lots of counters and playaction bootlegs to set up the deep ball. It wouldn't hurt to get him some legit WR's to throw to that are capable of holding on to the ball.

Either one would be worth Betts if you ask me. The Jets would be getting a powerful inside runner that in Portis' absence put up big numbers. 1154 yards on the ground and another 445 receiving with 53 receptions and 6 TDs while only starting 9 games is pretty impressive.
