I despise OSU but the call was legit. There were multiple infractions on the same play that could have been called and everyone of them would have resulted in a 1st down. I hate acknowledging any OSU team as a national champ but this shouldn't even be up for debate anymore. I will agree that it's pretty damn entertaining bringing it up to get a rise out of them.

While watching the despicable Browns this pre-season, I've noticed that Kosar is not a good color man. I realize he has the knowledge, but just doesn't articulate it very well on most occasions. A lot of incomplete thoughts, poor timing and trailing off of his sentences because he doesn't know how to end them properly. Plus he dresses really frumpy. Get something that fits. And a tie wouldn't hurt either. Thanks, Bernie.

As long as you all can keep the pressure off of Pennington he might make it through a full season. One thing that's going to help is the warmer weather he'll get to play in for 8 of his games. You could see the cold weather get to him as the season progressed the last 2 years.......very hard on his shoulder. Just don't expect any semblance of a vertical passing game with him under Center.
I only asked because Henne has looked pretty good. Much better than any of the other QB's drafted this year and he definitely has the arm to stretch the field.
Taylor's injury looked alot worse than it was. He's looking at a couple of weeks on the shelf. I was worried he was going to end up like Osi. How long before the Giants are on the phone with Strahan's agent?

i wasn't expecting much of a vertical game to begin with anyway considering the lack of talent we have at the WR position (with ginn maybe being the exception this year). i'm sure the phins are looking to play a ground and clock-control type of game.
...and henne will get his shot soon enough. he didn't do too well in the last preseason game, but he's only a rook, he'll learn from his mistakes.
as far as jt, at least his injury happened now and not right in the middle of the season when things get rolling.

It wouldn't be really rooting for another team, but seeing as my guys have no shot at the title this year, I'd support another team come playoff time. I doubt the Pats will be in the playoffs this year, unless Cassel suddenly turns into a good QB, or we magically get another serviceable QB.

Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley apologized Monday for posting an explicit photo of himself on his Web site.
Cooley accidentally revealed more of himself than he wanted when he took a picture Sunday morning while preparing for a game against the New Orleans Saints. Cooley wanted to show the readers of his popular blog some of the study materials the players were given by coach Jim Zorn.
Cooley, however, said he was studying in the nude, and he didn't examine his photo closely before posting it.

Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter rarely shies away from speaking his mind and on Wednesday the outspoken veteran provided the Patriots a bit of bulletin board material when he admitted he was unimpressed with quarterback Matt Cassel, Tom Brady's replacement.
"If it's not Tom Brady it shouldn't be that hard," said Porter, who last week claimed Brady was his favorite quarterback to face.

Cornerback Ellis Hobbs said Monday, but he's amazed that they did it as the players left the field at halftime of the 38-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
"It doesn't hurt," Hobbs said. "It amazes me how people react. You would think that this organization hasn't won as much as they have and been successful in the years that they have, and it's a testament to how spoiled they are where expectations are that high that we're not allowed a bad game."

Fixed that for you. The holding call was bullshit. The "downfield" call was bogus too. The rule says that as long as he is engaged with a defender, which he was, then the play was legal. The problem was when the defender broke off downfield after the ball was thrown. They made up for it on the missed facemask though so it balanced out. The cynic in me says they didn't miss that at all and were sending a message to Pacman.

Rams still have no hope. A quarter of their offense came on one play at the end of the game. We moved the ball at will on them........just couldn't hold on to it.
We were due for a let down and after not committing a TO on offense in the first 5 games we gave the ball up 3 times. I figured it would come in bunches when it finally hit and I was right. It was really a bizarre game to watch. Their only TD was the result of a backup being in on our OL for Samuels. The catch that setup the game winning FG came after Smoot and Springs came out of the game and we were down to our 4th CB matching up 1 on 1 with Avery.......on 3rd and 13. Their first FG hit the left upright flush and still managed to wrap around and fall in. Every bounce seemed to go their way. All 3 turnovers happened with the Skins in scoring position. 2 easy pick-six INT's by Bulger were dropped. It was just one of those games.

I am surprised that Dallas is that low...then again, it must be equitable to the old Philly stadium nowadays.

Well, considering Jerry Jones implemented the "pay to tailgate" rule this season at the old stadium in Irving so that it won't be a shock to fans next season when that rule along with the surcharge for reaming at the gate becomes commonplace, it doesn't surprise me that they rank that low.

Still, the Steel Curtain may be our D, but at the moment the offense looks more like a dado rail.

The Iggles won over the Falcons! (:secret: but really the gamechanger was the wrong call by the ref in the 4th regarding the muff ball. If the Falcs coach had a challenge, he should've challenged it and possibly could have tied, if not won the game.)

Wayne Huizenga may rush sale of Dolphins for fear of Barack Obama raising taxes (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-flspdolwayne27sboct27,0,1382404.story)
Dolphins owner H. Wayne Huizenga said Sunday no date has been set for selling up to 45 percent more of the team to Stephen Ross, but the presidential election is among the issues weighing on his decision.
That's because a Barack Obama administration is expected to mean higher capital-gains taxes.
"He wants to double the capital gains tax, or almost double it," Huizenga said."
Ross purchased 50 percent of the team and Dolphin Stadium for $550 million earlier this year with the intention he would eventually become majority owner. NFL owners approved the eventual transfer this month, meaning it can take place anytime.
"If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes," Huizenga said.
But the Obama campaign disputed Huizenga's figures on Monday, saying the candidate's plans are to raise the capital gains tax maximum from 15 percent to 20 percent -- a 33 percent increase, not double. And the top rate would be for families earning more than $250,000 or individuals earning more than $200,000.
"Mr. Huizenga is wrong about Senator Obama's tax plan, which calls for a maximum capital-gains rate of 20 percent -- a third lower than the rate that President Reagan set in 1986," said Bobby Gravitz, Obama campaign South Florida spokesman. "Furthermore, Senator Obama's tax cut for 95 percent of working families will mean a whole lot of Dolfans will be better able to afford those ever-rising ticket prices."
Regardless of when he sells, Huizenga vows to maintain a 5-percent stake in the team.
"It's been 19 years and after 19 years, it's kind of time," he said. "I don't want to be one of those owners who gets real old and hangs in there, we know some of those stories already, I don't want to be one of those guys."

Talks are in the beginning stage and Culpepper has not made any salary demands. Culpepper left the Lions facility without agreeing to a contract, but he indicated that he will stay in contact with the team.

given the names on the defense and the way the offense started the season, I just figured "it's just a matter of time before the D sorts itself out and then I'll be ready to anoint them a definite playoff team". Instead, the offense decided to dumb down to the D's level.

I've never had a problem with the way the Steelers D plays. Just with our ability to keep Ben upright, and Ben's ability to work out where people in Giants uniforms are standing and not to throw the ball there.

Quinn = probably the real deal. Did well and made few mistakes in a simplified offense that they were able to elaborate later.
Cutler = the real deal if he can find any consistency/if a Bronx RB can survive a game.
