Their defense may or may not be improving. But it won't be their defense that gets them to the Super Bowl.

I don't like the overlap, either. The World Series should end in the beginning of October and they should go back to 154 games a season since they have the extra layer of playoffs with the wild card. Some WS go into November, for crying out loud. That's too cold for the northern cities. And if they had fewer preseason football games and reduce the season by two games and go back to 14, they could start football later. Same with hockey. They shouldn't be playing in June. It's wrong. It should end in the beginning of May so we can turn our attention to baseball. But none of this will happen because they are all greedy bastages.

Detroit's defense is one of the best in league.
I'm saying it right now.
Not necessarily by stats, but how they keep us in the game.
13 interceptions, 6 fumbles, should be intimidating for any team we have yet to play.
And I think Jeff Garcia's exactly what we needed. A veteran QB who's been successfull in the past. Especially with this depleted receiving corps. Johnson out for the rest of the year... how does one team get so fucked?

Try 3 in one game, 9 players total, 5 on stretchers. It was dubbed "The Body Bag Game"......

Two months earlier, in a nationally televised Monday night game at Philadelphia's Veterans Stadium, the Eagles had beaten the Redskins badly. They had knocked nine Redskins, including three quarterbacks, out of the game. Five Redskins had to be carried off the field. The final score, 28-14, scarcely reflected the severity of the whipping.

Worse than the defeat were the accompanying insults. As the game wore down, an Eagle reacted to one injured Redskin lying on the turf by yelling, "Do you guys need any more body bags?" Another time an Eagle shouted, "You guys are going to need an extra bus just to carry all the stretchers!"

After the game it was even worse. The Eagles publicly poked fun at the Redskins, with Eagles defensive tackle Jerome Brown telling reporters, "They acted like they didn't want to play us anymore."

At Redskin Park, that game became known as The Body Bag Game, and it would be hard to underestimate its effect on a proud team filled with veterans like Joe Jacoby, Jeff Bostic, Earnest Byner, Art Monk and others.
