- What size are you looking for Ken? And how much are you willing to spend?

- I bought this external HD about a month ago from Tigerdirect.com:

- It's an 80 GB Ext. HD that supports both Firewire and USB...

Im not sure, Greg. My friend told me recently that he bought one to back up all his CD's. Since we both have very large numbers of CD's, I was thinking it sounded like a pretty good idea. 80 GB is probably good, but I dont want to spend too much.

Not quite sure yet. Im getting $700 for my tax return and I get a $300-$400 bonus check each month. I dont need a monitor ethier so it should be a failry nice one.

In Circuit City yesterday I saw they had a 160 GB Western Digital for $50 (after $70.00 MIR). If course you'd have to pay taxes on the price before the MIR.. which was $119.00. So It'd end up costing about $5.00 less than this for me (9% sales tax here).. but I'd have to go through the trouble of sending in the MIR, and a lot of people don't get them back anyway.. because if you make one small mistake filling out the rebate they won't refund.

Capt

can't you ask the store to discount you the money and mail in the rebate for you?

if i was worried i couldn't fill out the forms correctly that's what i'd do

hmm, i don't know. I know when I bought my wireless stuff I could have gotten like $150 back in MIRs.. but I forgot to send them in because I'm irresponsible. :nanasad:
