subs in films

ok.... i got a film dwl and it came with a seperate sub file.... (extension .idx and .sub) oh and now .srt as well) the film is avi and i wanna burn it to dvd...... any1 got any ideas on how 2 do it... i tried using dvdlab pro..... and i managed to get subs onto the dvd but i lost the sound..... some1 here has gotta b able 2 help!!!!!!!!!!
