WEARING A THONG AT EIGHT ..HAVING GROUP SEX AT 14
KIDS PAY PRICE OF OUR SEXUAL SOCIETY
(http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=15452215&method=full&siteid=94762&headline=wearing-a-thong-at-eight---having-group-sex-at-14-name_page.html)
Suzie Hayman
From eight-year-olds in hotpants to teenage orgies, the sexualisation of our children is alarming.
Where school nurses used to check for nits, 90 per cent now deal with sexual diseases.
Yesterday the Royal College of Nursing warned of a new phenomenon, "daisy chaining", youngsters having group sex.
Here agony aunt and expert counsellor SUZIE HAYMAN warns of the dangers of the sexualisation of our kids. KIDS have always played doctors and nurses. Children exploring their sexuality is perfectly normal.
But now they are rushing to have full sex at an increasingly young age.
It has never been unusual for 13 and 14-year-olds at a party to pair off in a corner.
But if they are going a step further and teens are swinging or daisy chaining it shows an absolute disregard for safe sex, themselves and the other people.
It's a recipe for pregnancy, sexual diseases and a generation growing up emotionally warped.
Children are becoming increasingly sexualised - and it is thanks to magazines, TV and our consumer society.
People are making money out of selling adulthood to children and with it adult behaviour.
In the past girls might have dressed up in mum's clothes, perfume and make-up for fun at home. But now children of eight or nine are going out in provocative clothes that have been bought for them, and they do not realise what signals they are sending out - the message that they are sexual beings.
Young girls do not realise that when their trousers slip to show they are wearing a thong they are saying "I'm sexy" as well as "I'm fashionable." And a 10-year-old should not be sexy.
SOME of the blame has to be with the parents who bought the thongs or a padded bra for an eight-year-old.
What is most worrying is now youngsters are also aping the flirtatious behaviour they see on TV. Many of the pop and dance music videos show the kind of action that would have been in a porn film 20 years ago.
Take Britney Spears. She was sending out very confusing messages when she first appeared, claiming to be a virgin and making videos that were extraordinarily sexual.
Early sexual exploration is usually experimentation - and that is normal. As kids get to the stage where they're interested in intercourse it tends to go with emotional feelings - in other words they fall in love, even at an early age.
If there are a lot of young people having full sex without any feeling involved, we could be breeding a generation of kids who are emotionally traumatised - and that is exceptionally sad.
And if the daisy chaining or group teenage sex is taking place clearly this is partic -larly worrying in relation to sexual infection. Thebig problem in this country is teenagers are unlikely to use protection the first time they have sex.
They have not heard about it, think it is something committed partners do or find it difficult to get hold of condoms. You have to brave the chemist's counter or go to a public lavatory and use a machine hoping no one sees, or go to a clinic.
In other countries the attitude is different. For example in the Netherlands the teen culture teaches you are mad not to use contraception.
More sex goes hand-in-hand with the increased availability of drink and drugs. In the last 20 years there's been an increase in the amount and strength of the substances young people use.
If you are out of your face, you are much more likely to get carried away. There is a clear link between teenagers, sex, drink and drugs.
But as for youngsters having more sex or group sex it is easy to point the finger of blame at inadequate sexual education in our schools.
We are still dealing with the moralistic idea we only discuss sex within marriage and no other way. That leaves kids vulnerable.
They need to know about what they want to do with their boyfriend or girlfriend.
If a daisy chaining session starts and one of the group does not want to be there, with peer pressure and the ignorance bred by our sex education classes what are the chances of them being able to say no?
There is more anti-social behaviour on our streets. The Daily Mirror is among those trying to do something positive to combat this with its Reclaim Our Streets campaign.
Those kids causing the problems often come from troubled backgrounds where they have seen sex and love split apart.
Young people who behave without sympathy for others are doing so because they had little sympathy shown to them.
If teenagers are having group sex it is another indication our young people are in crisis.
It is heart-breaking when youngsters feel so uncaring for themselves that they cannot care for other people.
In my experience even adults who swing are frequently expressing an inability to commit or come out of it feeling rejected by their partner.
With most couples I see who swing one is happy and the other is doing it for their partner.
A majority of young people who have early sex say they wish they had waited because it did not mean much, they caught infections or got pregnant.
Just as significant is how it affects their emotional life. If they place an importance on this and the whole thing falls apart they have had a really sad experience at a very young age - perhaps in a situation where they cannot talk to someone about it.
It is hard for a 13-year-old girl to say to her mum "my boyfriend just dumped me after I slept with him". But the emotional battering and trauma that child has gone through is terrible and will leave mental scars if she cannot.

No... You know these things are not 100%... Look at the Latter Day Saints... wealthy, high levels of education, but 8 to 10 kids a family...
When it comes to larger numbers younger, the trend is for lower educated/less income families to have more kids...

I think it's funny how our minds cause us to go against nature...
It's like Al Pacino said in The Devil's Advocate: "God gives man the greatest gift he can give any being- INSTINCTS. And then for his own amusement, for his own cosmic gag reel, he sets the rules in opposition."
Humans were originally genetically designed to only live to be about forty, which is why around that age our bodies start to deteriorate while we continue to exist...so naturally our reproductive organs would have to kick in a couple of decades early so we'd have plenty of time to keep the species going. This was back before our brains got so big that we started to wonder why innocent little children should be exposed to something so horrible and gross as sex. Anyway, fourteen was a fine age to start reproducing at...that's why our bodies tell us that it's time to start reproducing as soon as we can jizz or have breasts. In some cultures they still practice this, in fact. Marriage at fourteen and such.
But, yet another product of big brains and too-many-goddamn-people-around, group sex and shit isn't necessary. In my opinion, the first sign of overpopulation is when sex becomes trivial, and is seen as a pleasure-source rather than a way of keeping the species going. Now it's a big joke.
I'm not saying fourteen year old should have group sex or kids should even be thinking about that stuff until they're 18 or so- we're past that, we've evolved- I'm just saying that it's kind of funny how our instincts and mindsets are constantly clashing.
It's evolution, baby, and we're right in the middle of it. :pepper:

But the emotional battering and trauma that child has gone through is terrible and will leave mental scars if she cannot.
blame tv, hollywood and media and such fucks.

I think alot of it does have to do with television and marketing. Look at what is being passed off on T.V. as "reality". Shows like Temptation Island, Blind Date, The Fifth Wheel and the lot are hardly realistic, but kids don't know any better. Granted, their parents shouldn't be letting them watch this garbage, but kids are going to find ways around that. It's very sad how far our standards have fallen in the last 10 years. I thought we had sunk as far as we could with Jerry Springer but that's hardly the case.
