I don't normally post things of this nature, BUT.....I saw this posted at another message board and this is just too important. Apparently President Bush is wanting to give the FCC more control over radio and TV broadcasts, and that includes satellite radio. Congressman Bernie Sanders has proposed a bill blocking this, called HR 1440. Got a few links for you guys.
Info about Congressman Sanders (http://www.bernie.house.gov/)
Info about HR 1440 (http://www.theorator.com/bills109/hr1440.html)
Now......I've written a total of three e-mails to both of my state's Senators and my State Representative. I highly suggest that you guys do the same, that is if you still want control over what you watch and listen to.
Look up your State Reps here (http://www.house.gov/writerep/)
Look up your Senators here (http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm)
To be honest, I'm not expecting this to get much feedback, but if only 1 of you follows my lead on the e-mail campaign, then my work is done.

Not a problem, Paps. Like I said, I drafted 3 e-mails myself. Even with C&P, it didn't take more than 15 minutes total.

And that has what bearing on THIS convo, exactly? Last time I remember, I was referring to the US and not Austrailia. If you're SOOOOO interested in how their radio system is so unregulated compared to the US, why don't you move there?
Or better yet.....try and fix the system WE have HERE. Oh wait......I forgot.....that's a foreign concept to you. Never mind.
