Yea... that Showtime series.
My roommate just picked up the first season on DVD. He was raving about it. Well, typically when my roommate talks about a TV show or a movie, we have about the same tastes and I'll typically like them.
Well... I heard everything he had to say about this show, and it is fucking amazing. The protagonist in the show is this 18 year old girl that gets killed by a falling toilet seat from the crashing Mir Space Station. From there she goes on to be a reaper and remove the souls of the dead so as not to be trapped in their body. Well, she's pretty new at it, and doesn't like doing it. She has tried to intervene with a few deaths and stop them from happening because she doesn't want them to die, and also leaves the soul in a dead person during their autopsy. Well, needless to say, that's got to be pretty devastating.
The only information the reapers have on the dying person whose soul needs freed is thier First and Middle initials, their Last name, the location, and the approximate time of death. (ETD: Estimated Time of Death)
I definitely recommend to anyone that you should check this out if you haven't already.
