Okay, this flick scared the shit out of me when I was a kid, and i didn't even see it. I have sicne seen peices of it, but not the whole movie. I once stayed in a house in Cape Cod that had the Amityville style windows in it (just one actually), but it freaked me out.
Anyway... I saw the trailer in the theaters for the remake of this film last week. I damn near shit my pants all over again. Obvioulsy, I won't go see it, but I'll look for all the little tidbits I can about it (that's about as brave as I get).
Is anyone here looking forward to this movie?

I think they shot the flick in Wisconsin or something like that... Long Island is probably too expensive for on location stuff...

I'm usually not scared of movies much, if at all, but this movie was pretty scary. Better than the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and better than The Ring in my opinion.
It reminded me of The Shining at times, but not nearly as good.

i took my girlfriend (Samantha) out to see it yesterday and she was scared to death. I wasn't though. Not to much stuff scares me anymore. But i still get chills when i hear that "rrrreeeeee" noise and the flash from the orgn Texas Chainsaw Massacre. :ohnoes:

how about the original versions of the movie (1, 2, and 3)? how were they? cheese-fest or scary?

I saw the first one a few times fairly recently and it's pretty :cheese:y. Although I must admit that the special effects and make-up weren't that bad, especially for a late 70's flick. A classic in its own right.
