Feeling stupidly sad

I´ve just broke up with my "friend" (though I´m not sure if "broke up" is the specific term, because we weren´t a real "couple"). I was sort of his lover, because he has a girlfriend, but I never, EVER wanted to be more than that (because I wasn´t really in love with him). But I got really tired about the lame excuses he´s been putting the last two times I´ve tried to see him, so just an hour ago, when we were talking on the phone (and he was stupidly declining my invitation to go out tomorrow) I tell him this I was tired about this, and that I didn´t wanted things to be this way. I´m not regreting my decission at all, but I feel sad. I really want to find love, but seems that all I can get are this half-baked, going nowhere, kind of relationships. I hate this. Sorry for this rant, but I had to get this out of my chest.

I have been there a million times before... Granted, I'm a male and don't see it from the female perspective, but at the same time... I've seen it.

What I've done in situations like that is:

Consider who I am and what I bring to myself. Fuck what the hell anyone else thinks of you and walk into every "relationship" thinking exactly that.

Before I date anyone, I give a full disclosure of what they can expect of me, who I am, and the few things I expect of them if it's going to continue and progress into something serious. As far as love... that shit comes out of nowhere like a fuckin' anvil out of the sky onto the coyote's head because he set the trap for the roadrunner and it fucked him over.

My analogy is this: You set it up to be loved elsewhere at another time for someone else, but then all of a sudden... you're chillin' with who-the-fuck-ever and all of a sudden, you realize it's THAT person that it was waiting for and had it waiting for you as well.

Don't fret, sis... relax, enjoy being you, and don't live for anyone else until you know it's time to, in fact, live for someone else... that's the best I can say...
