The game is rated teen. They have no climax. So I made it implied. I could have a made a movie in a cheesy old western theme. But I figured two bikini chicks frolicking on a beach was more interesting.

The game aspect gets old very quick. But like I told Kenneth, I didn't buy it for that reason in the first place.

Creating your own movies has turned out to be very disappointing. You have no camera control at all.

When you make you own movie, you pick a genre. Pick a location or backdrop for each scene. You are then given a bunch of scenarios already pre-shot. You just drop whatever character you want into the "stand-ins." There is a side program called Star Maker that lets you create your own characters.

You shoot the movie after completing all your scenes. Then you can drop it in post production. There, all you can really do is cut the screnes. Move them around. Choose a soundtrack they provide. Then export it or upload it to the official site to share with others.

You are very limited on what you can do yourself. A lot of your own creativity has to go into making something even close to original. Especially since everyone is given the same shit. It is very cookie cutter. The actors you choose and any dialogue you add are the only things that can keep it original. You can add your own voice and there is a lip-sync element to the game.

A lot of people are bitching about lack of freedoms. The developers quickly said they may release the tools they used. So we may get what we need to do more of what we want. They really didn't make it for us machinima makers. But it looks like they may start to fix that issue.

I'm thinking about seeing if some episodes of the Encircling Bunch can be made... :whistle:
