it says 'a great trick to do on your background image'

so i'm assuming he jsut took a digital photo from the same angle with the monitor out of the frame... then cropped the part the monitor covers to fit the screen and then used it as a background... and took another picture

- The guy (who made it), if you read from the messages below images, said it was photoshopped and he even explains how he did it...still cool nonetheless. :bang:

ariel wollinger says:
this is a photograph trick.

1st- with a tripod take a picture of your desk without the computer on it.
2nd- take a picture now with the computer on the desk.
3rd - open both pictures in photoshop and paste one of the pictures over the other as a new layer.
4th- make a selection of the area of the computer desktop and copy it from the image that has no computer.
5th- the image might be skewed due to screen positioning. Use the free transform funtion and drag all corners of the selection to match the picture canvas.
6th- use this image as the desktop in the computer.
7th with camera still in position, take a picture and the illusion will be created.

voila!!

well for some reason the first picture i took the camera decided to make orange.. so i had to adjust the other one and make it orange too.. therefore making a very unrealistic one. i'll probably try again some other time, but not tonight.

here's what I did.. but it sucks

lol forgot to paste the cursor and the task bar on there. oh well. i didnt do it like they said i just print screened to add the icons and shit in.. then put it on a diff. layer option. :|

Cool.

And it still came out nice, iha, I don't mind the orange hue.

thanks phi, i just dont like the orange hue b/c it makes it real easy to tell it's photoshoped.

that looks pretty neat

i think the fact that its a transparent monitor is the first hint that its photoshopped

LOL

I know some lights have that hue, and there are times when the sun hits a room with that effect. Or maybe I really am just easily fooled. :shiner:

I don't understand why you need to take more than one picture. One picture of the background should be sufficient to play with. Or are the other pictures "just to help line it up?"

Aha! Success!

One hit wonders from the 80's. And it's all due to that "Take On Me" song.
