Picked up SC:CT Today

So I picked it up after work and played for a while tonight. Wow, just a total Triple A Title. The graphics are just gorgeous. The level design is excellent. Multiple paths to explore, all of which usually lead to the same ultimate goal. Very good AI that often light up flares if they are alerted and the lighting is dim. Lots of cool moves with the knife and such. More interrogating than in the first one. I love the save anywhere feature. Eliminates frustration and encourages trying different things. The camera is alot closer to Sam in this game than in the first. Takes a little getting used to and sometimes can be a pain in close quarters, but im getting used to it and it still works pretty well. I finished the first mission. It took a little over an hour of game time, but with starting back at save points several times for various screw ups it was more like 2 hours total. Then I started the second mission. Very fun, very immersive, all around excellent game.

i love this game. but instead of saying what i love, which everyone else has already covered, why is it that you can dump live people over ledges, but not the unconscious and dead bodies? i love the OCP (or whatever the letters are) that shut off lights.

Its much better with the ragdoll physics. In the first game you'd lay a body down in a corner and half their body would go through the wall. Now they slump over realistically.

Im not 100% positive on that, but I believe that is what I read. In the single player you have the whistle button, which works well. Ive used it a couple of times already effectively.

JD, yeah, there are primary, secondary, and opportunity objectives. As long as you complete the primary objective then you can get through the mission. The others are optional.

Does knocking guys out instead of killing them give you a higher rating? If so, that sucks. As long as you do it stealthily then it shouldnt matter if they're dead or KO'd. So much more fun to stick 'em. I love when I guy is coming around a corner and you pop out and shove the knife in their gut. :evil:

According to the demo, if you simply knock them out, you get a higher rating. If you break anything in the terrorist's body, you get a lower rating...at least in the demo...I'm getting SC: CT tomorrow... :werd:

Well I made a conscious effort to look for it, and I can say with a fair amount of certainty that there is none. Not a huge deal, but it would add to the immersion and realism. Plus, add to the stealth factor in that blood on the floor would lead to suspicion.

yep. today at lunch i went to best buy and bought god of war, a few cds, and a few dvds. they only had the regular version of sc. then i went to the gamestop that was near the subway closest to work. nothing. then i went to an eb games that's also close to a subway, nada. then i bought some food and went back to work. livid.

like i mentioned before, i found it online for $55 with shipping included. 2-7 days.

nope...i got 0%...i'm going to play it again tonight...i was pissed off when i saw that percentage...i had 5 bodies discovered, i was seen about 10 times and the alarm sounded twice...

I am enjoying this game. The enemy AI is much smarter. The story seems like 24 though...and the dialogue is particularly funny.

BTW, I'm surprised the low percentages for the second level. It played out similar to the submarine level in Pandora Tomorrow...

I like the outdoor parts better than indoor. The indoor stuff feels too much like the first game. Not that thats bad, but the outdoor stuff feels a little more fresh to me for some reason. Except the NYC stuff. That feels alot like the first game too. Im liking the more exotic outdoor stuff, like the lighthouse and the outdoor sections of Hokkaido.

i played the cargo level again...this time no bodies were discovered, i planted the tracking device on all the crates and was identified once.....my score 34% :dead: ....what the F! am i doing wrong??...i picked Reddington's Recommendation...what's the difference with each option?, does your score go higher by what you pick??
