So, Jazz do you prefer the NBA to college basketball?

Exactly. Like yesterday. They didn't play until 9...That couldn't have been a 3 or 4 p.m. game? The scheduling is ridiculous. The other sports, like baseball and hockey, play their games no more than a day apart, sometimes to allow for travel and what-not. These chuckleheads want mostly weekend games. It's stupid.

Both teams fouled all night, but luckily the refs just let them play. I wasn't watching too closely, but it all looked okay to me.

EtchedInCold

the two that really pissed me off was when Rip was running around like he usually does, and used one of the Spurs to keep Ginobili off of him, so he just kind of stuck his leg out in front of Rip and both went down and they called Rip because he "got the elbow up."
and also the charge on Ben Wallace. You have to admit that one was bullshit.

- He is soft, but he's definitely one of the more humble b-ball players out there...

But still soft. You'd think he'd be a physical player since he knows all the fundamentals better than anyone in the game.

But still soft. You'd think he'd be a physical player since he knows all the fundamentals better than anyone in the game.

He's a point guard trapped in a center's body. He doesn't need to be physical because he has all the finesse moves of a perimeter player. He makes everything look effortless down there.

Heath
June 17th, 2005, 04:31 PM
Until someone hits him, then he has a shitty game while his team gets dominated, and sits on the bench pouting to his coach. Soft.

I don't know about anyone else, but man, these playoffs are dragging. I know it's all about money, but the start time and the time between games are RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Can we have a game start at 8 or so and maybe actually play every other night, or God forbid, two games in a row???? Sheesh.

It's just nuts. Tell me kids and people who have to get up in the morning are even watching these games. And they wonder why ratings are down...hellooooo, McFly?? They keep finding ways to drag the league down. People have much more than the four big sports to occupy their time these days. You'd think they'd want to groom another generation of fans, but they won't be too successful with kids if the kids can't watch the game. And those pregame shows are just AWFUL and way too fricken long. Play the damn game already!

Heath
June 18th, 2005, 03:47 AM
GOD DAMN I hear you on that one. The Pistons into and PA guy drive me up the wall. It isn't all about the game anymore like it used to be, and that is why I hate it. College Hoops is the way to go. Hopefully they'll make the NBA age limit 20 so guys go to college and stay in longer.

bleuMadonna
June 18th, 2005, 03:55 AM
Thank you. I totally agree with the minimum-age increase. I enjoy college hoops much more, and actually basketball is the least favorite of the four big sports for me. I would be much more inclined to watch it if they stopped with the lame-ass features, endless showboating, and manufactured stories and just play and focus on the damn game.

Heath
June 18th, 2005, 03:57 AM

In the final games of the Argentinian basketball leagues, the teams actually get to play two games in a row sometimes. And the final is way more exciting like that. With the time that passes between one game and another on the NBA finals, you lose interest.
