i don't know, i believe i was like 4 years old when my dad bought us an atari. it brought the two arcade sticks and the paddles. he contributed to my addiction!

Star Trek -- the text-based game. In terms of "modern" games with actual graphics (instead of pixels), I think it was The Punisher...

Technically, Mario. But I never owned a Nintendo (damn parents!) I always played it at a friend's house.
Eventually I got a Sega Genesis, and the first game I was addicted to that I actually owned was Sonic The Hedghog (might have been #2)

I remember staying up until like 11:30 one night with my father playing Astroids on the atari........good times, great dad.I must have been 8 ?

that was technically my first game. i believe it came with the system(?). donkey kong was the first game my father bought for us.

While Combat was the first game I really liked, it was probably the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES that made it certain i would be playing videogames the rest of my life. :nana:

not true. i remember being younger, and watching my cousin, who was babysitting us, beat that game start to finish. it was a hell of a way to keep us under control.

wacky wheels on pc. there were some before that but i can't remember their names
on sega i never really could get addicted to any game because my siblings would never let me play.
i would play atari sometimes before we got a sega even though it was the nineties :dog:
