Gaming Industry = Oversaturation?

i don't know about you guys, but i have a bunch of unfinished games and there's about 2-3 games that i really want coming out in the next couple of months. i know i will have the chance to finish most of those games when the new next-gen systems come out, but still...

do you guys think that the gaming industry is a little too oversaturated with games?...like they're overloading people with so many games they rarely get to finish or fully enjoy the ones they currently own because there's always something bigger/better coming out?

that's why i'm very picky about what i buy....the only games i have not completed are NG and Halo 2.....and with SC:CT around the corner i doubt i will get to them....

I agree. Too many half assed efforts released for a quick buck. Its kind of ironic because for the first year xbox was out, one of the negatives people would refer to about the xbox was that it didnt have enough games. But then on the other side of the coin you have it where it is now, with too many games. Alot of good games which make it hard for us to complete them all, and too many games that shouldnt even be released because they are subpar.

It was inevitable for all consoles. The same can be said for the music industry, the movie industry, etc. etc. or virtually any entertainment industry. But it's actually more dependent on the developers to produce polished products or not...like Ubi Montreal with SC: CT and Starbreeze with CoR...
