Looks like Ozzfest sucks again

The Hot Topic Second Stage will be headlined by ZOMBIE and feature a preview of rock's rising stars, including AS I LAY DYING, MASTODON, THE HAUNTED, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, BURY YOUR DEAD, SOILWORK, TRIVIUM, IT DIES TODAY, A DOZEN FURIES and more.

That's really fucking lame. The one thing I always loved about Ozzfest was that even if I didn't like the bands , they were at least from all different end of heavy metal and showcased different things to different people. Starting last year they completly changed. Now they are taregeting the scream till your throat bleeds crowd , and that's just fucking gay.

BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, ROB ZOMBIE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SHADOWS FALL and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY.
Although none of them are my favourites... I have to say this sounds like a good show, I've seen some of these bands, Maiden included, live, and for you naysayers, Iron Maiden is fucking awesome live... Steve Harris is one of the best bass players to even grace metal/hard rock...
These are all good bands, and although not my first or second choices, I do think they will put on one hell of a concert together... will I go to Phoenix to see it in July or August though, oh hell no... 100F at least, outdoor festy, full on daytime sunshine... :thud:

I really think that the idea with these lineups is to appeal to a broader age range in the audience also... for money sure, but I think it's cool, the old school metal and the new school on the same stage...

I agree with Pudie on the second stage... Slipknot there last year made anything worthwhile, just to see them, but there is no real variety in these bands... i think some are good and listen to them casually, but not enough to bother with them live... :shrug: It definatly seems that the second stage has lost all sense of variety or the adventurism that is involved in putting together musically varying groups... :zzz:

the haunted is good. the original vocalist is back. but i prefer the second vocalist.
