all the official sites (xbox.com, playstation2.com) or magazine sites (1up.com, gamespot.com) won't work, but i'm convinced all those indy sites created on free servers like geocities could be viewed here. do you guys know any good ones that are updated frequently and have articles, previews, and/or reviews?

remember, any official sites or sites with the word 'game' in its domain name will most likely be filtered. i'm talking about someone who keeps like a sort of blog or archive collection of articles.

ive never had to deal with filters here, but i wonder how smart they are. Have you tried using the websites IP address instead of the usual www.xbox.com?
jazz
March 14th, 2005, 02:18 PM
good idea...do you have a link to a site that converts domain names to ip addys?

its easy to figure out... try forums.xbox.com first and see if it works...
65.59.234.36
if that doesnt work, try a site that you havent tried before. All you have to do is click "Start"... "Run...", then type "cmd", hit enter. When the window pops up, type in C:\>ping "website address"... dont put in the " " though. It may succeed, it may not, but next to the name that you entered, the IP should show up in brackets

this is the only type of gaming website i could view from work (notice the free webhosting address): http://www.geocities.com/rschniep2000/index.html
could someone find me a decent one being hosted by a free host. apparently free webhosts aren't filtered (yet).

he should be worried about whether or not his shoes need a tune-up. Shoe's upkeep should be top 3 in everyone's priority list.
