I put this in music since a long time ago, The Jackson Five had some decent tunes... :whistle2:

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Prosecutors seeking access to Michael Jackson’s financial records told the judge in his child molestation trial Friday that the singer may be “on the precipice of bankruptcy.”

Assistant District Attorney Gordon Auchincloss said during a hearing on motions that prosecutors believe financial problems may have motivated Jackson to take part in an alleged conspiracy to hold his accuser’s family captive and try to get them to help rebut a TV documentary that damaged the singer’s public image.

Prosecutors believe Jackson may be $300 million in debt, then said the singer may have $400 million in liabilities and that his financial troubles “will all come crashing down on him in December of 2005,” Auchincloss said.

“All we are looking for is a concise snapshot of the defendant’s financial condition,” he said.

The defense is fighting the request.
Defense attorney Robert Sanger angrily objected to Auchincloss’ technique of providing “sound bites for the media” in his arguments rather than addressing issues pertinent to the case. He said the prosecutor’s focus on Jackson’s finances has no relevance to his finances in 2003, the year at issue in the trial.

Sanger said that what was at issue was Jackson’s financial picture in February and March 2003, the time of the alleged conspiracy. He said existing case law should prevent admission of evidence about any possible financial motive.

Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville was hearing motions on Friday. Testimony by Jackson’s accuser resumes Monday.

How the hell could anyone blow as much money as Micheal Jackson's made? I think if this IS true, he should be jailed and set before a firing squad on being this frivolous and pathetically irresponsible and stupid alone... :dual:

this guys a joke
specifically his court antics
then maybe i'm just being cynical
its probably just coincedence that every time he needs to appear in court he has some kind of injury that requires a hospital visit

i'm taking bets that he will stage his own death to get out of this one

Yeah, he's ruined. It's weird that he was looked up to so much. i wonder if people will still idolize him as a musician and give him so much respect. VH1 did that concert not too long ago in honor of him.. heh. I'd be very suprised if he turned out innocent.

He blew his money b/c he spent it like an idiot, did you see that thing they showed on TV where that one guy followed him around and they went to a store? He bought like everything in there.

Are you serious? He's a fucking 40 year old man, who CHOOSE, to the extent of paying for them, to have children of his own...
He has had an enormous amount of money his entire life, and it is NO ONE's fault but his own if he really has no knowledge of what the world is like. Feeling sorry for someone like this is one of the biggest errors of the people of western culture. It is pathetic and sad to make excuses for an individual like this, especially for someone like me who has been forced to expirience REAL tradgedies and pain, I lost my life at 21 and had to start at 29... over again, yet this is no excuse when I behave childish and do stupid things, I am still a fucking adult and so is he, there are REAL people with REAL problems everyday, and many of those problems would be greatly assisted by money, which he blew... it is impossible for anyone with sense to feel sorry for this man. I personally reserve this much understanding and sympathy for epople with real problems... like some aids riddled child in the Sudan...

This man Is a classic profile pedophile, only he is WORSE! Instead of only chosing a vunerable child to prey upon, this man choses entire families based on their vunerabilities... he then attempts consistantly to pay then off and control them; causing huge amounts of strife in the family.

I want to hear no defense of this man unless you can PROVE to me that you have been reading the court transcripts of his trial. He has done nothing that is not his OWN fault.
Ok, then do you feel sorry for Jeffery Dahmer? How about let's say Richard Ramirez... because saying that Jackson is not responsible for himself because of the life he expirienced as a child, also removes these mens' responsibilities over their killings, I mean I know of very few who expirienced the emotionals traumas as a youth that Richard Ramerez did... you feel sorry for murdering, torturing rapists as well? Same thing...
He wants everyone to feel sorry for him... NO... not acceptable. There are 6 billion people on earth, many starving and sick, and this man blew enough money to buy ALL the hungry dinner.
He is an adult he needs to behave as one.
PERIOD.
And his music, it sucks now too...

true very true....

he is poor he is the ultimate victim of child abuse, he had no childhood of his own, he grow probably being molisted and abused all his life. he is not a natural human being in any possiable messaure.

now for one thing i do not defend him, i think what he did is his own fault, he choose it all the way. but it's as if the man does not know how close his life is to the edge. he has no knowledge of the true result of his life choices. look closely at the Bashir video and the recent interview with his parents and some comments on his website. he doesnt know or is in great denial.

and just becuase i said it lisa doesn't mean i am completly wrong and you have to accuse me of being the great sympthiser of crime. he is a child a stupid child, a bully. he lied to us all the time, he made a mockary of out emotions as kids, and turns out to be the greatest sex offender. who knows how many children he screwed (sorry for being slightly blunt) but he is sick he is constantly re-living moments he lost as a child, and he unbaringly using his sexuality as an outlet.

i do believe in what i say becuase it is simple. you could read some Frued and Young and prove me wrong. i dont care but this is what i believe in.

and because i said it doesnt mean you have to attack me and say that i feel sorry for criminals, i am agaisnt child abuse all the way ( i have witnessed more than my fair share) and make this one thing clear, i hate him, i dont pitty him but as an indivisual in the 21st centuary i should understand him in order to understand myself, all of us should learn from other people and learn from their down falls. we should learn well and grow wiser. from this great american tragedy odipus is blind from the begining and blinds others as well, why? his childhood, his father and his up-bringing are all based on mans greed one mans greed gave birth to more greed and so on until it destroyed the purity of innocence and vunrabilty.

if i dont make any sense i will try and edit it more ok!

No, I didn't really attack you for feeling sorry for criminals, I argued with you over sympathy for an adult who is manipulative and off through his own fault. Adults have to be accountable for their own behaviours. I have immense internal sympathy for Jeffrey Dahmer, having studied his childhood and so forth... but he knew he was wrong, and ahd to be held accountable. We can not let people because they are famous or rich manipulate our opinions about the truth.
That Bashir video was nothing honest, it was propaganda, it was planned to portray Micheal as a victim, remember these things when you see something like that. We can not continue making excuses for people's behaviours, this is my point...
I also want you to remember that this man thinks that the public is stupid enough to believe his BS... don't let him be correct

honestly lisa you have carefully read what i wrote or i didnt write well!
if the later is the case then i dont fall for his bullshit, i try to understand his fall in order to realise mine when it comes.
i did point out some in that short argument that he is muniplative in some form or the other!

i do believe in somethings like understanding criminal behaviour, and pedaphilia is one under-understood dissorder. his life his ways could bring us closer to understand this even more than before.

All I can say here, is that as a psychologist and American citizen, I completely disagree, not much to learn here but how well the wealthy and famous in North America can manipulate the rest of the populace... :shame:

From what Iv'e heard even if he is found guilty (I think he is but thats just mho). He is not going anywhere near a "serious" jail. He'll do time in some secure centre for twisted non threatening individuals somwhere in the country were he can go for nice walks every tuesday. Stick him in San Quentin ...

As for his cd's I have never owned any of them and I think his music is crap too ...

that is gross.

but I was a fan and until this case I thought that he was innocent, blah. but after reading about the trial I thought that it must be true.

now, I used to be a fan, billie jean etc, and i dont think I could listen to his music ever again. its so sad that this happened. he was abused as a child, which is no excuse for him doing this, he hasnt had the life like anyone else which is still no excuse.

and latoya (sp?) jackson is so fucking annoying!

he probably will commit suicide because whether he is found guilty or not he has no way out. its going to be really hard.
